Hi friends! After 5 years of online meet-ups for book club, I have made the difficult decision to close out this virtual chapter of book club and dedicate my energy to in-person book club meet-ups in my city of Baltimore.

Reading alongside you has been a true joy and I have cherished every single conversation with the hundreds of you who have shown up over the years. Your observations, lived experiences, and interpretations of our books and current events have been a balm and I am forever grateful for the energy you’ve devoted to this space.

Alas, online participation has declined over the last year and it feels right to close out this format of book club. For the rest of the year, I will continue to provide a deep dive post for each book and will reassess my Substack presence here in 2026. I will not be hosting an online book club meet-up on July 13 as planned, but will be hosting an in-person book club meet-up at Greedy Reads in person on July 14. More information can be found on my last post.

Wishing you summer warmth, cool nights with glow bugs, dips in the ocean or a mountain stream, and embodied time with the humans and creatures you love most. And always, a good book that reaffirms your belonging in this universe, in this time, in this place.
